The Sahabah Free Clinic stands as a shining example of how the principles taught by Islam—compassion towards the sick and selfless service to those in need—are seamlessly integrated into everyday practice.
Every day, people throughout the United States struggle with choosing between paying for food and a place to live or going to the doctor and getting their required medications. Our free clinic helps the uninsured/people without preventative care and be part of their solution. Our team of physicians and volunteers are dedicated to serve the community to the best of their abilities. Offering free medical care to everyone in the local community is an excellent way to fulfill the obligation of social service. Medical care is not only expensive, but sadly, many people don’t even have the health insurance to cover the cost of treatments or tests. Our free clinic will provide these services and be part of their solution.
Throughout the United States, Many Muslim communities have established free medical clinics dedicated to providing healthcare services to uninsured and low-income patients from diverse backgrounds. To date, no comprehensive study has assessed the collective impact of these Muslim-run free clinics, nor has there been a consolidated directory compiling their contact information in one accessible resource.
The Free Clinic is operated by volunteer healthcare professionals from the local community and is situated at the Sahabah Services location.
